Use any legal document to retrieve opinions with similar facts and legal issues. You can upload:
Copy and paste or type textual excerpts on a certain legal issue to obtain on point cases on that particular legal issue.
Directly copy and paste URL's of legal articles/news articles/ legal blogs or case-law and find on point cases on the legal issues involved.
With CaseIQTM, one can directly upload a legal document or relevant legal text and within no time our intelligence engine will retrieve all applicable statutes and case laws.
CaseIQTM can be used on any legal document including briefs (yours and opposition), written submissions, judgments, orders, applications, motions, relevant extracts from such legal documents, which may or may not cite any other legal authority (other case laws or statutes). Iteratively improve upon you research by running it through CaseIQTM from time to time and incorporating suggestions.
CaseIQTM can be accessed from the home page, Research Centre (on bookmarked judgments and documents), and through Intelligent Judgment Search (by ticking results you want to run in CaseIQTM).
CaseMine has a separate tool for keywords, the Intelligent Judgment Search.
There is no minimum and maximum word limit for CaseIQTM, although keywords and single sentences are best suited for Intelligent Judgement Search. Very large legal documents might take more processing time.
CaseIQTM accepts: MS WORD, PDF (containing searchable text) or plain text files, URL's and you can also paste TEXT, or you can upload a picture of the legal document/ scanned copy and let the in-built Optical character recognition (OCR) module digitalise it. (We understand how hard it is to always have a digital copy of the legal document. However, it must be ensured that the images have good resolution for best results).
CaseIQTM allows you to obtain highly relevant search
results directly from a brief (or other associated legal document),
bypassing the need to reformulate case facts into searchable legal
propositions. It automatically analyzes the language of your legal
document for cited case laws, statutes and legal argument patterns.
It then feeds this information into a complex predictive algorithm
that leverages the archived intelligence of legal experts who've
explored these issues previously to compile a list of highly
relevant case laws, thereby highlighting potential missing points
of law, or alternative arguments not appraised prior.
Traditional
keyword based legal research systems leverage Boolean operators
based search to identify relevant case laws. While the ability to
upload entire case briefs is a clear differentiator, what actually
sets CaseIQTM apart is its ability to identify and
understand the multiple legal propositions that might be involved
within the brief, comprehend the underlying question(s) of law
involved and provide on-point case laws.
CaseIQTM analyses all legal issues present in the uploaded document and how they may intertwine with associated facts. Accordingly, results that are significantly aligned with the uploaded legal document on issues/facts present within it will be recommended first. To explore a particular issue only, one may copy and paste an excerpt containing the issue and run CaseIQTM on it. Alternatively, one may also use a keyword filter to narrow down the results further.
The maximum size of a file to be uploaded in CaseIQTM is 5MB.
Yes, multiple files/texts can be uploaded in CaseIQTM at the same time. They will be considered as a consolidated document by CaseIQTM when giving recommendations.
We use 256 bit end to end encryption (same level as your bank). So, it's impossible for a third party to eavesdrop. Nothing is stored on our server, any uploaded document is promptly removed from our server after processing your results.
From the results of CaseIQTM, you may select case laws specific to the legal issue you are researching on and narrow down the search results by using the 'REFINE' feature (available as a tab in green) to explore that particular issue in greater depth by finding case laws similar to the ones selected.
Yes. If you are looking for something specific, narrow down your CaseIQTM research by adding keywords. (Click on the Blue Tab above the results).
