Appellant, Aderoneke Adermi, proceeding pro se, filed a notice of appeal from the trial court's May 10, 2024 Default Judgment in favor of appellee, Massandra KV Vineyards Owner, LLC. On September 30, 2024, appellant filed an "Emergency Petition for Review on Appellant's Motion to Recuse Judge Audrie Lawton-Evans and Emergency Motion to Stay the Trial Court's Hearing [S]et for October 1[,] 2024 on Appellant's Formal Bill of Exception."
In her motion, appellant requested that the Court (1) "vacate and render void" a September 27, 2024 order denying her motion to recuse the Honorable Audrie Lawton-Evans, the presiding judge of County Civil Court at Law No. 1, (2) enter an order granting appellant's motion to recuse Judge Lawton-Evans, and (3) stay all proceedings in the trial court pending review of her motion, including an October 1, 2024 hearing set by appellant for the trial court to consider her "Formal Bill of Exception."
Appellant's "Emergency Petition for Review on Appellant's Motion to Recuse Judge Audrie Lawton-Evans and Emergency Motion to Stay the Trial Court's Hearing [S]et for October 1[,] 2024 on Appellant's Formal Bill of Exception" is denied.
