Re: Simon v. Wooldridge

Thomas D. Horne, Chief Judge

Chong Park, Esquire
8229 Boone Blvd., Suite 230
Vienna, VA 22182 Neville Crenshaw, Esquire
14019 Rose Lodge Place
Chantilly, VA 20151 Gentlemen:

This matter is before the Court on Plaintiff's motion to compel discovery and Defendant's motion for a protective order. After hearing the arguments of counsel, the Court directed the documents in question be submitted for in camera inspection.

The documents were produced in a timely fashion and have been reviewed by the Court. Those documents produced may be redacted in such a way as to exclude all material except that which is necessary to determine the Defendant's ability to pay an award of punitive damages. This would include the redaction of material necessary to the protection of the rights of third parties.

Mr. Park may draw an order consistent with the order of this Court. The unredacted copies shall remain under seal with the Clerk in the file of this case. Counsel for the Plaintiff may renew his request for the unredacted copies at a later time, should he be so advised.

Very truly yours,

Thomas D. Horne, Chief Judge
