Walter HINDS v. COMMISSIONER OF CORRECTION.

Adele V. Patterson, senior assistant public defender, in support of the petition.

The petitioner Walter Hinds' petition for certification for appeal from the Appellate Court, 151 Conn.App. 837, 97 A.3d 986, is granted, limited to the following issues:

“1. Did the Appellate Court properly conclude that the petitioner is categorically barred from prevailing on his claim that, as a matter of due process, he is entitled to a new trial due to the cumulative effect of certain improprieties, because not one of those improprieties was sufficiently harmful, standing alone, to warrant a new trial?

“2. If not, is the petitioner in the present case correct that the cumulative effect of the improprieties were harmful, thereby entitling him to a new trial?”
