2. The present petition has been filed with the following prayer:
"A. Issue a Writ Order or Direction in the nature of Mandamus
Commanding/Directing the Opposite Party no.2 to decide the application
of Petitioner/Licensee for the transfer of arms licence number
1737/Aliganj/Lucknow, UIN 336230038955292011 and one non-
prohibited bore Rifle, licence number 88612/11527 GS/LKO/1983, UIN
336200010857752015 /in favour of his son and legal heir Mr. Ravi
Prakash Residence of MS 71, Sector D Aliganj Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh-
226024 Police Station-Aliganj under the proviso of family heirloom policy
vide notification no. V-11016/16/2009-Arms MINISTRY OF HOME
AFFAIRES, IS-II DIVISION/ARMS SECTION DATED 7TH JAN 2011
read with rule 25(b) of the arms rules 2016 in time bound manner."
3. Considering the relief as sought, the present petition is
disposed off directing the authority concerned to consider and
decide the aforesaid application in accordance with law with all
expedition preferably within a period of four months from the
date of production of a certified copy of this order.
