Appellant by his RTI application had sought to know whether the B.E.(Electronics and Telecommunication) 2007 batch of JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth Deemed University had AICTE approval or not, whether the BE degree of AMIE has been approved by AICTE-DEC-UGC joint committee and whether the degree after 2010 batch is also valid etc. PIO replied on 01.07.2015 gave a detailed reply along with copy of advertisement. Being unsatisfied, appellant filed First Appeal. FAA by his letter dated 30.07.2015 disposed of the appeal after enclosing the relevant public notices regarding professional courses in engineering and technology through ODL mode. Being unsatisfied, appellant approached the Commission.
Proceedings Before the Commission:

The CPIO submitted that as per policy of the AICTE they do not recognize the qualifications acquired through distance education mode of Diploma, Bachelors & Master's level in the fields of Engineering & Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Applied Arts & Crafts and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). AICTE has the policy to consider only MBA and MCA through distance mode for its recognition provided the same has been approved by the tripartite Committee of AICTE, UGC & DEC. The CPIO has furnished copy of advt./public notice to the appellant, which is self explanatory.
Decision:
3. Having heard the submissions, and perused the records the Commission holds that sufficient substantial information is provided, hence the appeal is closed.
