Shri Tarsem, the appellant has filed this appeal dated 5.7.2011 before the Commission against the Food Corporation of India, Rohtak, for not providing information to his RTI-request dated 5.4.2011. The matter came for hearing on 15.12.2011. The appellant was present in person, whereas the respondents were represented by Shri S.K. Dhawan, Area Manager, Shri M.S. Ranga, Manager (G) and Shri Nand Lal Manager and Shri Rajeev Chaudhary.
2. The appellant filed an RTI-request dated 5.4.2011 seeking attested copies of Committee reports submitted by Officers of FCI, District Office, Rohtak w.e.f. January, 2000 to April, 2011. The CPIO vide letter No. RTI.34 (1)/Tarsem-4/RTK/834 dated 13.5.2011 advised the appellant to inform which specific Committee Report along with date is required, as it was not possible to make list of all the Committee Reports during the period January, 2000 to April, 2011.
3. Aggrieved by the reply of the CPIO, the appellant preferred first-appeal dated 19.5.2011 before FAA. The FAA vide order No. 34(2)/RTI/Appeal/Tarsem/33/2011/72 dated 10.6.2011 upheld the reply of CPIO and advised the appellant to submit necessary details to CPIO within a week on submission of such details, the CPIO to take a decision on application in accordance with the provisions of RTI Act within two weeks. 4. During the hearing the respondent submitted the appellant has not yet submitted the specific details of information, he wanted to seek.
5. Having heard the parties, the Commission observes that the appellant has not sought any specific Committees report and the information sought by him through RTI- request was vague.
