School New Rohtak Road, New Delhi-110005 Facts arising from the Complaint: Mr. Surendra Kumar had filed a RTI application with the PIO, Dte. of Education (Central),Zone-28,New Delhi asking for certain information. Subsequently the RTI application was transferred to Principal/PIO,Nava Hind Girls Sr. Sec.School, New Rohtak Road, New Delhi vide a letter dated 05/10/2009. On having not received any information within the mandated time period of 30 days, the Complainant filed a Complaint under section 18 of the rti act with the Commission. On this basis, the Commission issued a notice directing the PIO/ Principal, Nava Hind Girls Sr. Sec. School on 13/11/2009 to provide information to the Complainant and further sought an explanation for not furnishing the information within the mandated time.
The Commission received a letter dated 27/11/2009 from the PIO/ Principal, Nava Hind Girls Sr. Sec. School wherein copy of information provided to the Complainant vide letter dated 12/10/2009 was enclosed.
Decision: The Complaint is disposed off.
Further, the Commission warns the PIO to ensure that information is given to applicants within 30 days as mandated under Section 7 (1) of the RTI Act, 2005.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
Any information in compliance with this order will be provided free of cost as per section 7(6) of RTI, Act, 2005.
