***** No.CIC/OK/C/2007/00625 Dated: 30 April 2008 Name of the Appellant Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh C/o Kishori Ram, Room No.213, Mansarover Hostel, University of Delhi-110007 Name of the Public Authority : University of Delhi Background: Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh of Delhi filed an RTI-application on 10 July 2007 with the Public Information Officer, University of Delhi, seeking certified copies of the questions papers of the Entrance Exams of LLB & LLM held on 17 June 2007 and 24 June 2007. etc.
2. The PIO vide his letter dated 7 August 2007 replied to his RTI-application but did not provide information on one count taking recourse to Section 8(1)(d). The Applicant approached the Central Information Commission with a Complaint against the PIO stating that this was against the Decision of the CIC.
3. The Bench of Dr. O.P. Kejariwal, Information Commissioner, heard the matter on 28 April 2008.
4. Shri Deepak Vats, Assistant Registrar & PIO, represented the Respondents.
5. The Appellant, Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh, was neither present nor send any representative for the hearing. Decision:
6. In the absence of the Appellant, the Commission heard the Respondents who produced a copy of email message of the Appellant received by them on 26 April 2008. In the message, the Appellant has admitted that all the information asked for by him had been supplied and that now there is no such grievances in the above circumstances. The case, therefore, is treated as closed. The Applicant has also sent his email message to the Commission.
