Tex. Occ. Code § 152.051 : OCCUPATIONS CODE — HEALTH PROFESSIONS — PHYSICIANS — STATE BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS — EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND OTHER PERSONNEL — Executive Director

(a) The board shall appoint an executive director. The executive director serves as the chief executive and administrative officer of the board.
(b) The executive director serves at the pleasure of the board.
