Nev. Rev. Stat. § 425.620 : PUBLIC WELFARE — SUPPORT OF DEPENDENT CHILDREN —GUIDELINES FOR SUPPORT OF CHILDREN — Review of guidelines for support of children; recommendations of Committee; regulations of Administrator
1. On or before July 1, 2018, the Committee shall review the existing guidelines established in this State for the support of one or more children and provide any recommendations for revisions to the Administrator.
2. The Administrator shall review and consider any recommendations of the Committee to revise the guidelines. After reviewing and considering such recommendations, the Administrator shall adopt regulations establishing the guidelines in this State for the support of one or more children in accordance with the requirements set forth in
42 U.S.C. § 667 and
45 C.F.R. § 302.56.
3. In accordance with the provisions of
42 U.S.C. § 667(a) and
45 C.F.R. § 302.56(e), the Committee shall review the guidelines established by regulation pursuant to subsection 2 at least once every 4 years to ensure the maintenance of effective, efficient and appropriate guidelines that best serve the interests of the children of this State and that comply with any requirements set forth in federal law.
4. After each review of the guidelines by the Committee pursuant to subsection 3, the Committee shall provide any recommendations for revisions to the Administrator. The Administrator shall review and consider any such recommendations and may revise or adopt any regulations that the Administrator deems appropriate.
5. The Administrator shall ensure that any recommendations for revisions to the guidelines received from the Committee pursuant to this section are made available to the public.
6. The regulations adopted pursuant to this section must be adopted in accordance with the provisions of chapter 233B of NRS and must be codified in the Nevada Administrative Code.
