THE WEST BENGAL SCHEDULED CASTES, SCHEDULED TRIBES AND
OTHER BACKWARD CLASSES DEVELOPMENT AND FINANCE
CORPORATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2024.
[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 10th December, 2024.]
Short title and
commencement.
An Act to amend the West Bengal Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes Development and Finance Corporation Act, 2017. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the West Bengal Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes Development and Finance Corporation Act, 2017, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Seventy-fifth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature ofWest Bengal, as follows:
1. (1) This Act may be called the West Bengal Scheduled Castes, ScheduledTribes and OtherBackward Classes Development andFinance Corporation (Amendment) Act,
2024.

The West Bengal Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes Development and Finance Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2024.
(Section 2.)
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
2. In sub-section (1) of section 4 of theWest Bengal Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes Development and Finance Corporation Act, 2017, after clause (g), the following clause shall be inserted:-
"(ga) the Secretary or his representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary, Tribal Development Department, Government ofWest Bengal, ex officio;". By order of the Governor,
