No. Leg. 9/2024.— The following Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana received the assent of the Governor of Haryana on the 15th March, 2024 and is hereby published for general information:-
HARYANA ACT NO. 9 OF 2024
THE HARYANA BACKWARD CLASSES (RESERVATION IN SERVICES AND
ADMISSION IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS) AMENDMENT ACT, 2024

Sfurther to amend the Haryana Backward Classes (Reservation in Services and Admission in Educational Institutions) Act, 2016.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Seventy-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. This Act may be called the Haryana Backward Classes (Reservation in Services and Admission in Educational Institutions) Amendment Act, 2024.
2. In Schedule-I to the Haryana Backward Classes (Reservation in Services and Admission in Educational Institutions) Act, 2016,-
@) in serial number 1, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted and shall be deemed to have been substituted with effect from the 30th June, 2016, namely:-
"Naik";
(i) in serial number 29, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-
"Hajjam, Nai, Nai:
(iii) in serial number 31, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-
"Joginath, Jogi, Nath, Jangam, Yogi";
(iv) in serial number 50, the existing entry shall be omitted and shall be deemed to have been omitted with effect from the 30th June, 2016;
(v) after serial number 71, the following serial number and entry thereagainst shall be added, namely:-
"72. Sain™.
