THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION
(No. 2) ACT, 1988.
[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 8th June, 1988.]

An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989.
WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989;
It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:-
1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (No. 2) Short title. Act, 1988.
2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there Issue of may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 s. 41.322,51 000 of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate [inclusive of the sums out of the West Ben. specified in column 3 of the Schedule to the West Bengal Appropriation Consolidated Fund of Act I of (Vote on Account) Act, 1988] to the sum of rupees forty-seven hundred West Bengal
1988.
and ninety-three crores twenty-two lakhs and fifty-one thousand towards for the year 1988-89. defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column 2 of the Schedule.
3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Appropria- Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for lion. the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989.
