THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION (VOTE ON
ACCOUNT) ACT, 1983.
[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Calcutta Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 24th March, 1983.]

An Act to authorise payment and appropriation of cretain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of a part of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1984.
WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of a part of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1984;
It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-fourth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:-
1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (Vote on Short title. Account) Act, 1983.
2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal there Issue of Rs. may be paid and applied sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 4,65,83,10,000 out of the of the Schedule amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees four Consolidated `hundred and sixty-five crores eighty-three lakhs and ten thousand towards Fund of West Bengal for
defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment the year during the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1984, in respect 1983-84. of the services and purposes specified in column 2 of the Schedule.
3. The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Appro- Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be appropriated for priation. the services and purposes expressed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1984.
