No. 2143-L.-22nd December, 2003.—The following Act of the West Bengal Legislature, having been assented to by the Governor, is hereby published for general information:—
West Bengal Act XXVII of 2003
THE WEST BENGAL APPROPRIATION (EXCESS EXPENDITURE,
1985-86, 1986-87, 1987-88, 1988-89, 1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1993-94 AND 1994-95) ACT, 2003.
[Passed by the West Bengal Legislature.] [Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, of the 22nd December, 2003.]
An Act to regularise payment and appropriation of certain further sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal for the services and purposes of the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1986, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1987, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1988, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1990, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1991, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1992, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1993, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1994 and the year ending on the thirty- first day of March, 1995.
It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India, by the Legislature of West Bengal, as follows:-
Short title. 1. This Act may be called the West Bengal Appropriation (Excess Expenditure, 1985-86, 1986-87, 1987-88, 1988-89, 1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1993-94 and 1994-95) Act, 2003.

year 1985-86, the fifty-one lakh twenty-seven thousand two hundred and eight, year 1986-87, the (5) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule V amounting year 1987-88, the
year 1988-89, the in the aggregate to the sum of rupees one hundred twenty-five crore year 1989-90, the thirty lakh seventy-four thousand one hundred and seventy-six, year 1990-91, the
year 1991-92, the (6) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule VI amounting year 1992-93, the in the aggregate to the sum of rupees seventy-nine crore thirty-two lakh year 1993-94 and
the year 1994-95. thirty-eight thousand six hundred and thirty-one,
(7) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule VII amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees two thousand one hundred fifteen crore eight lakh eighty-five thousand six hundred and fifty-eight,
(8) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule VIII amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees three hundred twenty- three crore thirty-seven lakh twenty-two thousand one hundred and forty-nine,
(9) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule IX amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees two hundred eleven crore ninety- three lakh sixty-eight thousand nine hundred and forty-four,
(10) sums not exceeding those specified in column 3 of Schedule X amounting in the aggregate to the sum of rupees three hundred nine crore fourteen lakh thirty-four thousand three hundred and twenty-five, are authorised for payment and application towards defraying the several charges which are incurred during-
(i) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1986,
(ii) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1987,
(iii) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1988,
(iv) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989,
(v) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1990,
(vi) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1991,
(vii) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1992,
(viii) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1993,
(ix) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1994, and
(x) the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1995, respectively, in respect of the services and purposes specified in column 2 of each such Schedule and which were in excess of the amounts granted for the services and purposes of the respective year.
Appropriation. 3. The sums authorised for payment and appropriation from and out of the Consolidated Fund of West Bengal by this Act shall be deemed to have been respectively appropriated for the services and purposes expressed in Schedules I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and X in relation to the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1986, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1987, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1988, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1989, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1990, the year ending on the thirty- first day of March, 1991, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1992, the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1993, the year ending on the thirty-first. day of March, 1994 and the year ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1995.
