AN ACT TO VALIDATE CERTAIN ACT~ONS TAKEN BY THE SYNDICATE OF THE SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY AND
TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN ANCILLARY MATTERS
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the twentj-third Year of the Re2ublic of India as follows-
1. ( 1 ) This Act may be called the SambaIpur short liae
University (Validation) Act, 1972. and comrne nccrnent.
(2) It shaIl come into force at once.

(b) the Syndicate consisting of the members holding office immediately prior to the date of coming into force of this Act shall continue to exercise the powers and per- form the functions of the Syndicate of the said University till the election of the members specified in clause (g) of sub-sec- tion (1) of section 10 of the said Act; and
( c ) the term of office of the members of the Syndicate holding office immediately prior to the date of coming into force ofthis Act, other than the ex ofiuio members, shall be co-terminus with the term of office of the members specified in clause (g) as aforesaid.
