5 R . 1086 THE ASSAM GAZETTE, EXTRAORDINARY, APRIL 11, 2012 Preamble Short title, extent and commencement Establishment of the Assam Kaziranga University AN ACT to establish a private University under the name and style “The Assam Kazirangd University” under section 6 of the Assam Private Universities Act,2007. Whereas it is expedient to establish a Private University under the name and style the Assam Kaziranga University under section 6 of the Assam Private Universities Act, 2007 and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Kaziranga University Act,2012. (2) It extends to the whole of Assam, (3) it shall come into force at once. (1) For furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution .of higher education and research, there shall be established a Private University under the name and style “The Assam Kaziranga University” in the State of Assam.
