(i) ThisAct may be called the Arunachal Pradesh University of
(ii) lt shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Officiat Gazette. Amendment of section 2 ; rn the Arunachar pradesh university of studies Act, 20.12 (Act No. I of2012) (hereinafter referred to as the erinciparnctl, in -s-ectioi il'"t",

"(42) "Visitof, means the Visitor of the University,,. Amendment of section 12: rn the principarAct, in section 12, forthe existing entries in crauses (a), (b), (c), (d), and (e), the folowing shall be subsf,tuitua ,_ - -'
"(a) The Visitor,
(b) The Chance ol
(c) TheVice-Chanceflor;
(d) The Registrar
(e) The Finance Officet and
(f) such other officers as may be decrared by the statutes to be officers of the university.,, lnsertion of Section 12A: ln the PrincipalAct, after section 12, the following section shall be inserted-

of the visitor: Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act' the Visitor shall have
(2) Power the following powers namely:

relating to the affairs ofthe University; (a) To call for any paper or information (b)
On the basis of the information received bY the Visitor, if he is satisfied that any order'
roceeding or decision taken by any authority
of the University is not in conformity with Rules, he
maY issuesuchdirections as
he may deem fit in thep the Act, Regulations or interest of the University which shall be binding to allconcemed;"
5. Amendment
of Section 13 (1)ln the PrincipalAct, in sub-sectlon (1) ol section 13, the words "with
the prior aqProval
of the Yislto/' aPPearing in the last Part of the sentence shall be deleted
5. Savings:
Notwithstanding anYthing contained in this Act, anything done or any
action taken under the provisions
of the PrincipalAct prior to this amendment shall be valid unless revoked
