to amend the Ap€x profossional UniveEity Act, 2012 (Act No. 7 of 2013)
... Be it enacted by the Legislature ofArunachal Pradesh inthe seventy-third year of the Republic of lndia asfollows : - 1' Short title and commencement : (i) This Act may be called the Apex professionat university(Amendment)Act, 2022.
(ii) rt shal come into force on the date of its pubrication in the officiar Gazette. 2' Amendment ofsoctlon 2 : ln theApex Profe$sional universityAct, 2012 (Act No. 7 of2o13) (hereinafterreferred to as principarAct), in section 2 afrer ctarse lrl Glorro*rng crause shal be insefied:_
"(xa) 'Visito/'means the Visitor of the University,,.

4. lnso.tion of Section 1lA: ln the PrincipalAct, alter section 11 the following section shall be inseft@d :-
"11A. The Visitor: -
(1) (i) The Governor of ArunachalPradesh shall be the 'yisifo,'of the University."

(ii) The Visitor shall, when presnt, pfeside ethe mnvocation of he University for confening D€grees, Diplomas, Charters and Certificates.
(2) power of the Visttor: Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Visitor shall have the following Powers namely: -
(a) To callforany paper or information relating to the affairs of the University;
(b) on the basis of the information received by the visitor, if he is satisried that any order, proceeding or decision taken by any authority of the University is not an conformitywith theAGt,RegulationsorRules,hemayissuesuchdirectionsas(s)hemaydeemedfit in the interest of the university which shall be binding to all concemed"; Amendmento'clauso(b}ofsubGection(4)olsection12:lnclause(b)ofsub-section(4)ofsection 12, after the word, "university', the words.when the visitor is not present'shall be inserted in the last part
of the sentence.
Savings:NotwithstandlnganythingcontainedinthisAct'anythingdoneoranyactiontakenunderthe provisions of the principatect prioito this amendment shall be vatid unless revoked or annulled by the
State Govemment.
