പീഠിേ.- 2011-ടേ കേരള കപാേീസ് ആേ്റ് ഇതിനുകേഷം ോണുന്ന ആവേയങ്ങള്ക്ക്കായി വീണ്ും കഭദരതി ടെയ്യുന്നത് യുക്തമായിരിക്കുേയാല്;
ഭാരത റിപ്പബ്ലിക്കിടെ എെുപതാം സംവത്സരത്തില് താടെപ്പറയും ഗ്പോരം നിയമമുണ്ാക്കുന്നു:-
1. െുരുക്കകപ്പരും ഗ്പാരംഭവും.- (1) ഈ ആേറ് ിന് 2019-ടേ കേരള കപാേീസ് (കഭദരതി) ആേ്റ ് എന്ന ്കപര ് പറയാം.
(2) ഇത് 2019 ജനുവരി 8- ാ ാ തീയതി ഗ്പാബേയത്തില് വന്നതായി േരുതടപ്പകെണ്താണ.്
2. 101- ാ ാ വേുപ്പിടെ കഭദരതി.- 2011-ടേ കേരള കപാേീസ് ആേ്റിടേ (2011-ടേ 8) (ഇതിനു കേഷം ഗ്പധാന ആേ്റ ് എന്നാണ് പരാമർേിക്കടപ്പെുേ) 101- ാ ാ വേുപ്പിടെ (6)-ാ ാ ഉപവേുപ്പ് വിട്ടുേളകയണ്താണ്.
3. റദ്ദാക്കേും ഒെിവാക്കേും.- (1) 2019-ടേ കേരള കപാേീസ് (കഭദരതി) ഓർഡിനന്സ ് (2019-ടേ 32) ഇതിനാല് റദ്ദാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
(2) അങ്ങടന റദ്ദാക്കിയിരുന്നാല്ത്തടന്നയും, ഗ്പസ്തുത ഓർഡിനന്സ ് ഗ്പോരം കഭദരതി ടെയ്യടപ്പട്ട ഗ്പധാന ആേറ്ിന് േീെില് ടെയ്തകതാ ടെയത്തായി േരുതടപ്പെുന്നകതാ ആയ ഏടതങ്കിേും ോരയകമാ എെുത്തകതാ എെുത്തതായി േരുതടപ്പെുന്നകതാ ആയ ഏടതങ്കിേും നെപെികയാ ഈ ആേറ്് ഗ്പോരം കഭദരതി ടെയ്യടപ്പട്ട ഗ്പധാന ആേറ്ിന് േീെില് ടെയത്താകയാ എെുത്തതാകയാ േരുതടപ്പകെണ്താണ്.

In pursuance of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Kerala is pleased to authorise the publication in the Gazette of the following translation in English language of the Kerala Police (Amendment) Act, 2019 (8 of 2019).

ACT 8 OF 2019
THE KERALA POLICE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2019
An Act further to amend the Kerala Police Act, 2011. Preamble.-WHEREAS, it is expedient further to amend the Kerala Police Act, 2011 for the purposes hereinafter appearing;
BE it enacted in the Seventieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.─ (1) This Act may be called the Kerala Police
(Amendment) Act, 2019.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 8th day of January, 2019.
2. Amendment of section 101.- In the Kerala Police Act, 2011 (8 of 2011) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), sub-section (6) of section 101 shall be omitted.
3. Repeal and saving.- (1) The Kerala Police (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 (32 of 2019) is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or deemed to have been done or any action taken or deemed to have been taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
