Jurther to amend the Manipur Public Service Commission (Additional Functions).Act, 2014 (Manipur Act No. 6 of2014). BE it enacted by the Legislature of Manipur in the Sixty-ninth
"earofthe Republic of India as follows:-
jd. (1) This Act may 'be called the Manipur Public Service Short tite and Commission (Additional Functions) Second Amendment Act, commence 2018. ment.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
2. In section 2 of the Manipur Public Service Commission Amendment of (Additional Functions) Act, 2014 (hereinafter referred to as the "te?
Principal Act), after clause (bb), the following new clause (bc) shall be inserted, namely:-
"(bc) "Government Society" means a society formed and owned by the State Government;".
3. In section 3 of the Principal Act, for the words "local authority Amendment of section 3,

7 \Or and Government Company" wherever they occur, the words "local authority, Government Company and Government Society" shall be substituted.
4. or section 4 of the Principal Act, the following shall be substituted, namely,-
"4, Power to add or omit from the list of local authority, Government Company and Government Society.- The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, add ot omit from the list of local authority or Government Company or Government Society specified in the Schedule-I or Schedule-H or Schedule-HI respectively.".
5. For clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 5 of the Principal Act, the following shall be substituted, namely:~ fa) the procedure to be followed by the local authorities, Government Company and Government Society for consultation withtheCommission;".
6& After SCHEDULE-H, the following SCHEDULE-II shall be inserted, namely:-
