AN
ACT
further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Tribunals) Act, 1976
IT IS HEREBY enacted in the Thirty-eighth Year of the Republic of India, as
follows :-
(1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Tribunals)
(Amendment) Act, 1987.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on January 28, 1987.
In section 3 of the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Tribunals) Act,
1916, for sub-section (5), the following sub-sections shall be
substituted,
namely :—
"(5) Except as provided in sub-section (5-A) , the provisions of
Rule 56 of the Uttar Pradesh Fundamental Rules, published in the
Financial Handbook, Volume II (Parts II to IV), shall continue to
apply to every member of the Tribunal, as they apply to any othei
Government servant of the same grade, rank or cadre :
Provided that a Judicial Member, referred to in the proviso to
sub-section (4) shall continue to hold office till he attains the age of
sixty-two years.

by the State Government as Judicial Member or Administrative
Member, if he is otherwise eligible for appointment as such member
under sub-section (3), and such person shall hold office for a period
of two years from the date on which he enters upon his office or until
he attains the age of sixty-two years, whichever be earlier.
3. (1) The Uttar Pradesh Public S-rvices (Tribunals) (Amendment) Ordi-
nance, 1987, is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken
under the provisions of the principal Act, as amended by the Ordinance
referred to in sub-section (1), shall be deemed to have been done or taken
under the corresponding provisions of the principal Act, as amended by his
Act, as if the provisions of this Act were in force at all material times.
