The State Government under the financial assistance fro. " • S M.E. Govt. of India has set
up a Tool Room & Training Centre at New Bamboo Park, R.K .. '_=_:-. Agartala. As per the
guidelines of the Tool Room & Training Centre scheme, the sa ~, tre shall be operated and

The Key aims and objectives of the society will be;
A. Aims of the Socicty:-
(i) Subject to the definition of the small scale and ancillary Industrial
Undertakings as notified by the Government of India from time w time, the
Society shall primarily assist in the technological lip-gradation and development

a) To design and manufacture Tools, Dies. Jigs and Fix: Ires, etc.
b) To impart training to young persons in tool and die making.
c) To impart training to young persons in use of Computers in Design and
Manufacturi ng.
d) To create a base /01' establishing advanced tool making facilities as and
when needed.

(ii ) The Tool Room & Training Centre shall be operated as far as possible 011
cost covering principles especially in its commercial operations with a vie vv to
become self-sustaining in due course. Operations shall include research and
development of designs and prototype manufacture and human resources
development including training and extension programmed. It shall also produce
precision lolls essentially for small- scale industries arrdjor the medium and

The State Government under the financial assistance from M.S.M.E. Govt. ofIndia has set
up a Tool Room & Training Centre at New Bamboo Park, R.K.Nagar, Agartala. As per the
guidelines of the Tool Room & Training Centre scheme, the said centre shall be operated and
managed by a new dedicated society as formed in the other states of the country.
Accordingly as pm the guidelines. the society naming “ Tool Room & Training Centre

]3. The main objectives to be pursued by the Society nr :-
(i) To provide technical advisory and consultancy ser 'ices for existing and
planned small scale and ancillary Industrial units in the reas of designing,
developing, manufacturing to tools, dies, moulds, jigs, ga ges, fixtures, metal
castings, bamboo craft and related items, production plan .:,.g, utilization and
repair and maintenance of these items.
(ii) To provide well-trained craftsmen and women in the fie ds of tool and die
making and allied engineering trades.
(iii) To provide training in computer Applications in e manufacturing
Industries and to provide training for tool and die makers an . others engaged in
occupations related to the fields mentioned in sub-clauses C at the tool room,
and in service training of such kind for staff of small s ale and ancillary
Industrial units, if so required and demanded without distin lion of any caste,
creed. religion andsex.
(iv) To promote, advise, support, encourage and nssist training activities in small
scale and ancillary Industrial units and to provide in pia: training oriented
services to such units in the fields mentioned under sub-clause. (i) if so required
and demanded, without distinction of any caste, creed. Religion and sex.
(v) To provide service facilities at the tool room for designing, developing
manufacturing, tryout and repairing the products mentioned in sub-clause (i), in so
far as such requirements of required quality cannot be met elsewhere.
(vi) To provide production facilities which will ensure financial viability [or the
TR&TC.
C. The Society will open separate Bank Accounts to receive and disburse fund
from different Govr. dept, agencies, trainees etc. Accounts of the society will be
audited annually and the Financial Year will be 1~I April to 31 SI March.
