THE INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES (KERALA AMENDMENT)

ACT, 2017

An Act further to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.

Preamble.—Wneeas, it is expedient further to amend the Industrial

Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act 14 of 1947) in its application to the State

of Kerala for the purposes hereinafter appearing;

Be it enacted in the Sixty-eighth Year of the Republic of India as

follows:—

1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be

called the Industrial Disputes (Kerala Amendment) Act, 2017.

(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala.

(3) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 2.—In section 2 of the Industrial Disputes

Act, 1947 (Central Act 14 of 1947), in clause (s), for the words “clerical

or supervisory work”, the words “clerical, supervisory work or any work

for the promotion of sales” shall be substituted.
