NOTIFICATION

G.O.(P)No.371/2005/TSM Dated, Thiruvananthapuram, 15™ October, 2005.

S.R.O. No.940/2005.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of

Section 3 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (8 of

2005) the Government of Kerala hereby declare the following areas which have tourism

importance as Special Tourism Zones, namely:-

(1) Kovalam

(2) Kumarakom

(3) Fort Cochin

(4) Munnar

Explanatory Note

(This does not form part of the notification, but is intended to indicate its general

purport.)

As per sub-section (i) of Section 3 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and

Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, Government is vested with the power to decide Special

Tourism Zones.

This notification is intended to achieve the above object.
