/ furfl'xerto amend the Manlpur Municipalities Act, 19.94 (No. 43 of 1994). Be it enacted by the Leglsiamre of Marilpur in the Sixty—fifth Year of the Republic of India as foflows:
1 - Short title and commencement:
(1) This Act .may be called the Manipur 'Municipalities (Seventh Amendment) Act
2014. . .

(1) :Sub—section (2') of section 41 cf the Manipur Municipanties Act, 199.4 she"

(2) A Hagar Pandu'ayat or Council, as the case may be, shall appoint an Executive Officer with the concurrence of the State Government on the. ' recommendation :of me Manipur Public service. Commission and the State Government: may, If .any particu!ar Hagar Panchayat or Council,_ as the case may be, dces not: mam;w sud; appdintrnent, appoint any person as such officer on the recommendation of the Manipur Public Service Commission in respect of that Hagar Panchayat or Council. ,as the case may be: .

(2) After sub—sectien (3) of section 41 of the Manipur Municipalities Act,1994, the following provisos shall be inserted, namely: , ,
Provided that a Council shall appoint an Assistant Executive Officer with the conwrrence cf the- State Government on: the recommendatien. of the Manipur Puhtic Sewice Commissien and the State Government may, if any particuia'r Council dues not make such appointment, appoint any person as such officer on the recommendation of the Manipur Public Service Cummission in respect of that Council:
