Be it enacted

by theLegislature

of

Manipur

in the

T Wenty—seventh Year of the

Republic

of India as follows :—

1 .

(1)

This Act may be

called the

Manipur

Land Revenue

and Land

Short title

& Reforms

(Second Amendment)

Act,

1976. commencement ' (2)

It

shall come into force on such date as the Government

- may, by

notification in

the

Official Gazette may

appoint

and different dates may be

appointed

for

different

provisions

of this ^Act. '

Act,

"Principal

Act"'means the

Manipur

Land

Revenue

Reforms

Act,

1960 as

amended on

3. In section

2 of

the

Principal

Act,

after clause

(i)

the

following clause shall ^beinserted ^asclause

(ii) namely —

"(ii)

'District Council'

means^the'Council' constituted under

areas)

of the

Principal

Act,

after clause

(b)

the

following clause shall

be inserted ^asclause

(hh), namely —

158 of the

Principal

Act,

for clause

(b),

the

following 'shall ^be

substituted, namely ^—

"(b)
