THE ORISSA EXPIRING LAWS CONTINUANCE ACT,

AN Acr rog OF EXPIRING
WHEREASBills for the continuingof Acts in forceonly for B limited pøriod m8Y not be sometimes paued before the expiration of the Act intended to be continued and great inconveniencemay arise therefrom ;
It iB hereby enacted as follows
l. (1) miis Aot may be called the Oriøsa Expiring Continuance Aot, 1951.
(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Orisss.
(3) It shall comeinto force at once.
2. When ony Bill may have beenOrshall be iniroduoed into any current or future Sessionof the Orissa Iagi81ative Assembly for continuance_Qf. Actnhich-would such Sessions
shall have expired beforethe BillföFomtfMiifig have been passed 8,nd have received the assent of
the Governor ODthe President, as the cagemay be, guohcontinue ing Act shall be deemed ond taken to hove effeot from the date of the expiration of the Aot intended to be continued fully and effectually, to all intentg and purpoeee,as if such continuing Act had actually been passed and assented io before the expiration of such Act except otherwise gpeoifically provided in such continuing Act :
Provided neverthelees, that nothing herein contained shall extend or be oonstrued to extend to affeot any person or pørgms with any punishment, penalty or forfeiture who%soever, by rueon of anything done or omitted to be doneby any euoh person or persons contrary io tho provisions of the Aot so oonfiuued before the expiration of same and the date bt which the Act oontinuing the same is first published in the Gazette.
