Pension) Act, 1980.

IT IS HEREBY enacted in the fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as. follows :-

1. (I) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Members' .

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on June 1,2008.

STATEMENT OF OBJECT AND REASONS

The members of the State Legislature are entitled to. get railway coupons not exceeding one lakh

fifty thousand rupees per annum for rail travel. In viewHof the..consistent demand of the State Legislators it

has been considered expedient in public interest to increase the annual limit of railway coupons. It has

therefore been decided to amend the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Members' Emoluments and Pension)

Act, 1980, for the said pitrOoSe... :•

The Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Members' .Emoluments and Pension) (Amendment) Bill,

2008. is introduced accordingly.
