IT IS HEItEBY enacted in the Fifty-sixth. Yea; of the Republic of India as follows :-
CHAPTER-1
PRELIMINARY
I. This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Legislature Members and Officers Amenities Uaws (Amendment) Act, 2005. . , Short title

AMENDMENT.OF THE UTTARPRADESH STATE LEGISLATURE
(MEMBERS' EMOLUMENTS AND PENSION) ACT, 1980

2. In the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature (Member? Emoluments and Pension) Act, 1980, hereinafter referred to in this chapter as the principal Act, for the , word "Secretary" wherever occurring including definitions the wOrds "Principal Secretary" shall be substituted. .• • • . • . - :
. • .3. In Section 4 of the' principal Act, for the words "seven thousand five.' hundred rupees" the worth "fifteen thousand rupees" shall be substituted. . •
4. In section 5 of the principal Act,—
(o) in.sub-section (1)for the words and figures "and net exceeding one lakh twenty thousand rupees per annum from April 1, 2004" the word's and .fires "and not exceeding one lalch twenty thousand rupees per Annum from April 1, 2604 and not eXceeding one laldifitty thousand rupees per annuni •

. • - 5, For 'section' 13 of the principal Act the following section shill be substituted, namely:—'
"13-(1) Every inemtier, when he 'travels within Uttar. Pradesh by. the' Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation Bus including air condition • „, or 'deluxe bus 'and submits ticket thereof the amount of such ticket shall be paid to him by the Principal Secretary.
. (2) The-facility referred to in sub-section (1) may also be availed by a .• member for taking one companion•with him in the bus.
(3) Ever; person who is entitled to a pension under Chapter VIII shall be entitled, in the manner prescribed with .a free non-transferable pass travel at any time within Uttar Pradesh by, the Uttar Pradesh State Road
. Transport Corporation Bus' without payment of the passenger tax due under:
any law for the time being in force. •
(4) The pass referred to in sub,Section (3) may also be used by such person for talciiiione companion alongwiili him-in the'btis:
Provided that if a person, referred to in subsection (3) travels in an ' air-conditionbus Or a deluxe bus he shall have to bear himself the excess amount of . fare difference. •
. 6. In section 15 of the principal Aet, in sub-section (1) for the words "three hundred rupees" the Words "five hundred rupees" shall be suEstituted.
7. In section -15-A of the. principal Act, for. the words "t'vo thousand: five hundiedrupees" the Words "Six thousand rupees" shall be substituted. . •
. 8. In section .18-A of the principal -Act, in clause (a) for the words • .
. "two thousanctruptes" the words "six thousand rupees" shall be substituted. .
9. In settion 24 of the principal Act,-
