THE SALARY AND ALLOWANCES OF CHATR MAN OF THE MANIPUR LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY (HILL AREAS COMMITTEE) Bt . 1572, AN Bt Ad- 1o provide for the salary and allowances of Chairman of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Hill Area Committee. . BE it enacted the Legislature of Manipur in the Twenty- third year of the Republic of India as follows :— L. (I) This Act may be called the Salary and Allowances Shaet tile of Chairman of the Manipur Legislative Assembly (Hill mencement, - Areas Committee) Act, 1972. (2) It shaif be deemed to have come into force on the twentieth day of June, 1972. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires :— Definitions (@) “Chairman” means the Chairman of thé" (Hill’ Areas Committee) ; (b) “Hill Areas Committee” means the Hill Areas Committee constituted by paragraph 3 of the Manipur Legislative Assembly (Hill Areas Com- mittee) Order, 1972 ; (८) Words and expression not defined herein and ACMt*‘“;Pofuf defined in the Salaries and Allowances of Ministers 197 ? (Manipur) Act, 1972 shali have the meanings respectively assigned to them in that Act. 3. (2) Every rule made under this Act shall be laid as soon as may be after it is made, before the Assembly while it is in session for a total period of not less than fourteen days which may be comprised in one session or in two or more successive sessions and if before the expiry of the session in which it is so laid or the session aforesaid, the Assembly makes any modification in the rule or decides that the rule should not be made, the rule shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be so, however, that any such modification or annuiment shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything pre- viously done under that rule.
