THE MANIPUR HIGHER SECONDARY EDUCATION (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 2010 {Manipur Act No. 3 0f 2010) A L ‘ An Act - further to amend the Manipur Higher Secondary Education Act, 1992 (Manipur Act” ~ No.4 of 1992). . ’ : ‘Be it enacted by the Legislature of Manipur in the Sixtieth Year of the Re{p‘ub]ic of India as follows: .. 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Manipur Higher Secondary Education (Second Amendment) Act, 2009. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, appoint. ‘ 2. Amendment of section 3. After clause (d) of section 3 of the Manipur Higher Secondary Education Act, 1992 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following new clauses shall inserted, namely,- “(da) ‘Director of Education (S)’ means the Directort of Education (School), Manipur; : (db) ‘Additional Director of Educatipn (S)’ means the Additional Director of Education (School), Manipur; . _ (dc) ‘Director of Education (U)’ means the Director of Education (University). Manipur; . (dd) ‘Additional Director of Education (U)’ means the Additional Director of Education (University), Manipur;”. 3. Amendment of section 12.-In sub-section (2) of section 12 of the principal Act, in between the words “Reader/Selection Grade Lecturer” and “as the Chairman of the Council”, the words “or an Additional Director Education (U) or Additional Director of Education (S) or a Reader/Selection Grade Lecturer in a Government College with 18 years of experience as a Reader or Selection Grade Lecturer” shall be inserted. e (Th.
