IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 1980 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Samkhya 12 of 1980), as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on August 10, 1980: .

AN ACT

further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik VishwavidyalaYez Adhiniyam, 1958.

Jr IS HEREBY enacted in the Thirty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows :

I. (1) This Act may be called the -Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 1980.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on June 19, 1980. A 2. In section 11 of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavi-

dyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958, for sub-section (6), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely :—

"(6) In any of the following circumstances [of the existence of which the Kuladhipati (Chancellor) shall be the sole judge], the Kuladhipati (Chancellor) may appoint any suitable person to the Office of Kulpati (Vice-Chancellor) for such term not exceeding six months, as he may specify-

- (a) where a vacancy in the Office of Kulpati (Vice-Chancellor) occurs or is likely to occur, by reason of leave or any cause not being expiry of term ;

where a vacancy in the Office of Kulpati (Vice-Chancellor) occurs and it cannot be conveniently and expeditiously filled in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) ; and

any other emergency."

(2).,Istotwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Act referred to in section 2 as amended by the Ordinance referred in sub-

sect ion.(i), shall be deemed to have been done or taken under that Act as

ansended.by this Act as if the provisions.of this Act were in force at all material
