IN pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evan) Prodyogik Vishwavidalya (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 1981 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 8 of 1981), as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on April 13, 1981

ACT further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya

Adhiniyam, 1958. 1

as follows : IT Is nrxruy enacted in the Thirty-second Year of the Republic of India"

I. This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik

2. In section 11 of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwa- vidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958,—

after sub-section (1), the following sub-section shall be inserted;.; namely :—

" (1-A) Where the Kuladhipati (Chancellor) does not consider any , one or more of the persons recommended by the Committee to be suit- , able for appointment as Kulpati (Vice-Chancellor) or if one or more: of the persons recommended is or are not available for appointment and, the choice of the Kuladhipati (Chancellor) is restricted to less than three persons, he may require the Committee to submit a panel of fresh, names in accordance with sub-section (1)."

in sub-section (6), the following proviso shall be inserted at the;s ,

end, namely:—

"Provided that the Chancellor (Kuladhipati) may from time to. time extend the term of appointment of any person to the office of Vice-Chancellor (Kulpati) under this sub-section, so however, that,. the total term of such appointment (including the term fixed in the, original order) does not exceed one year."
