tution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following
English translation of the Uttari Bharat Nahar Aur Jal Nibs (Uttar Pradesh
Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 1979 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 22 of 1979):

ACT
further to amend the Northern India Canal and Drainage Act, 1873 in its
application to Uttar Pradesh.
IT Is HEREBY enacted in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India. as
follows :-
-1. (1) This Act may be. called the Northern India Canal and Drainage
(Uttar Pradesh Amendment) .Act, 1979.
(2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pradesh.
In section 36 of the Northern India .Ganal and Drainage Act, 1873,.
hereinafter referred to as the. principal Act, for the words "shall be determined•
by the rules to be made by 'the State Government", the words "and any other
incidental charges shall be determined lay the rules to be made by the State -
Government", shall be substituted.
In section 75 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1), for clause (4), .
me following clause shall be substituted, namely :— •
" (4) the amount of aiay charges made under this Act and the manna
in which they shall be realized; and,"

IT is HEREB\ enacted in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of Indin_ as
follows: —-
-l. (l ) This Act mav be. called the Northem India Canal and Drainage
(Uttar Pmdesh Amendment) Act, 1979.
(2) It extends to the whole of Uttar Pmdesh.
2. In section 36 of the Northcm India canal and Damage Act, 1875-: ,
hereinafter referred to as the. principal Act. for the words “shall be determined”
b) the rules to be made by the State Government" the words "and any other
incidental charges shall be determined by the rules to be made Iby the State-
Goxmment", shall be substituted.
3. In section 75 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1), [o'r dause (4).. ' A
the following clause shall be mbxtizuled, namely :— '
