further to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 in its application to
Uttar Pradesh
IT is HEREBY enacted in the Twenty-eighth Year of the Republic 'of 'India
Short title and
extent.

"I67-A. For the avoidance of doubts, it is hereby declared that the
provisions of section 167 shall, so far as may be, apply also
in relation to any person arrested by, or under any order or
direction of, a magistrate, whether executive or judicial."
