Prcamble.-\'VHI:RI:As, it i~ eXpedient to gn e cflCct to cc1 tain financial proposals of the Go' einment of Ke1 aLl. 101 tl~c Fmancial Ytal· 2001-2002; BE It enacted m the F1fty-Sccond . Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
I . Slzort title mzd commcnccment.-(J) Thi~ Act may be called the Kerala Finance Act, 2001.
(2) Clause (b) of 5ub-~ection (3) of ~cction 3 ~hall be deemed to have come into force on the fi1~tdayol july, 1987 and the remaining prov1sions ~hall be deemed to have come into fo1cc on the 23rd day of july, 2001.
2. Amendment of Act 35 of 1958.-In the Ke1ala l\1oncy Lcndrrs Act, 1958 (35 of 1958),-
(I) in section 2, 2-ltu clause (IA), the followmg cia me shall be ime1 ted, namely:-
"(IB) "Commimone1'' me:>n' the ComnmsioneJ of Comme1C1al Ta..'>c.~ appointed under the pro\1~10m of the Ke1ab Gene1al Sale~ Tax Act, 1963 (15 of 1963)",
