Short title, extent and commencement Amendment of section 3. Amendment of section 8

ACT
further to amend the Assam College Employees (Provincialisation) Act, 2005. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam
College Employees (Provincialisation) Act, 2005,
hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted in the S ixty-sixth Year of the Republic o f India as follows:-
1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam College Employees (Provincialisa tion) (Amendment) Act, 2015.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
2. In the principal Act, in section 3, in clause (g), in the first proviso, for the punctuation mark " . " appearing at the end, the punctuation mark " : " shall be substituted and after the first proviso, the following new proviso shall be inserted, namely :-
"Provided furth er tha t the exis ting employees whose Co ntr ibu tor y Provident Fun d acc ount has not been opened till the date o f coming into force of th is Act, shal l not be l iable to refund the said Go vernm ent's share of the Co ntr ibu tor y Provident Fu nd money for admissibi lity of pension."
3. In the principal Act, in section 8, in the second proviso, after the words "such employee" appearing at the end, the following shall be inserted, namely
"except in cases of employees whose Contr ibu tory Pro vident Fu nd account has not been opened till the date of coming into force of this Act."
