to amend the Assam Preventive Detention Act, 1980 o Preamble Whereas.it is expedient to amend the Assam President Act Preventive Detention Act, i980,hereinafter No. 5 of i980 referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows :.:.
Shorttitl~ 01. (1) This Act may be called the Assam extent 0 Preventive'Detention(Ameridment)
