IT rs HEREBY enacted in the Twenty-seventh Year of the Republic of India
as follows :—
Short title. 1. This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh State Public Service Com-v,
mission (Regulation of Procedure and Conduct of Business) (Uttar Pradesh:,
Amendment) Act, 1976.
Amendment of 2. In section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh State Public Service COMMiSSi011 .1,
section 2 of U. P. (Regulation of Procedure and Conduct of Business) Act, 1974, hereinafter;
Act no. 26 of referred to as the principal Act—
In sub-section (I), the words "Chairman of the" and the worcbr,,:
"with the previous approval of the Governor" shall be omitted;
in sub-section (3) , for the word "Chairman" the word "Commir.;:;

views, selection or competitive examination, or the declaration of any results
thereof, by or on behalf of the State Public Service Commission in accordance
with the principal Act as it stood immediately before its amendment by this
Act, and the rules framed thereunder, shall be deemed to be and always to have
been valid, and any further proceedings in relation to any interviews, selection
or competitive examination may be continued, in accordance with the rules that
may be framed by the Commission under the principal Act as amended by this
Act, from the stage at which they stood immediately before the commencement
of this Act.
(2) Nothing in this Act shall be construed to affect the power of the
Chairman of the Commission to convene or preside over the meetings of the
Commission or any administrative power conferred on him by any regulations
or otherwise vested in him.
