Whereas, the Administrator of Union Territory of Daman & Diu intends to amend
the Goa, Daman and Diu (Abolition uf Proprietorship of Lands in Diu) Rules, 1971.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (2) af Section 25
of the Goa, Daman and Diu (Abolition of Proprietorship of Lands in Diu) Act, 1971 (Act
No.1 of 197l), the public in general is hereby called upon to.file auggestionslobjedions,
if any, within 30 days of publication of following draft rules in the Official Gazette,

I. Short Title and commencement:
(E) These rubs may be called the Goa, Daman and D[u .Q4bolition uf Proprietorship of Lands in Diu (Amendment) Rules, 201 5.
Cii) These rules shall come into force from the date of pub.lieatbn in the Official Gazette of UT of Daman & Diu.
2. Amendment to Rule 3 of the Goa, Daman and Diu (Abolition of
Proprietorship of Lands in DEuj Rules, 1971.
After clause (j) of Rule 3, the following shall be added.
" 3. {k) the tand is be'mg mortgaged in favour of the Government or State Bank of
India or any other Scheduled Bank, in consideration of a loan advanced to the occupant of the land, for improvement of land and livelihoodp+
