I. (I) This Acl may be called lhe Madhya Pradesh Rajya Vitia Ayog Adhiniyam, 1994.

(2) II shall come into force on such date,as the State Government may, by notification, appoint

2. In this Act unless the context otherwise;rcquire$,-

(a) "Commission"meanstheSuueFinanceCommissionconstiwtedbytheGovernororMadhya Pradesh in pursuanl IO clause (I) or Article 243·1 or the Consti1111ion;

(b) "Panchayat" means a Panchayatconstituted. under Article 243-B of lhe Constitutionoflndia:

(c) "Municipality" means a municipalhy conslituted under Article 243-Q of the Constillltion of - India;

(d) "Member" means a member of the Commission and includes the Oiairman.

' . ' 4 The Chairman of the Commission shall be sele<;led from among persons who have had experience in public affairs, and the other two members &!rail be sclecled from among persons who,-

(a) are, or have been, or are qualified tobe appointed asju

(a) if he is of unsound mind;

(b) if he is an undischarged insolvent;

An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Rajya Vitta Ayog Adhiniyam, 1994 (No. 3 of 1994).

Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly in the Fifty-fourth year of Republic oflndia as follows :-

I. (l) This Act may be called the Chhanisgarh Rajya Villa Ayog (Amendment) Act. 2003 (No. 9 of 2003).

(2) It extents to the whole of Chhattisgarh.

(3) It shall come into force from t~e dale of its publication in !he official Gazette.

2. The Chhattisgarh Raj ya Vitta Ayog Adhiniyam, 1994 (No. 3 of I 994) (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act) shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in Section 3.

3. In Section 3 of the Principal Act, for the words "to other members", the words "one other member" shall be substituted.

An Act to further amend the Chhattisgarh Rajya Vitta Ayog Adhiniyam, 1994 (No. 3 of 1994 ).

Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Sixty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-

(I) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Rajya Vitta Ayog (Amendment) Adh iniyam, 2018.

(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette._ For Section 7 of the Chhattisgarh Rajya Vitta Ayog Adhiniyam, 1994 ( No. 3 of 1994 ), the fol lowing shall be substituted, namely :-

"7. Chairman and every Member of the Commission shall hold office for the period as specified by the Governor in their appointment order. Tenure of office of the Chairman or any member may be extended by the Governor, as and when necessary, and the Chairman/Member shall not be ineligible or unqualified for re-appointment:

provided that the Chairman/Member may, by letter addressed to the Governor in writing, resign his office."
