fur the r to amend the Assam Fixa tion of Ceiling on Assam Act Land Holdings Act, 1956 I ot D57.
Preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to am end the Asturfi Act Assam Fixation of Ceiling on la n d ^Holdings Act,1 of ,95
-̂ 1956, hereinafter called the Principa l Act, in the man- ner hereinafte r appearing ;

(2) It shall have the like extent as the Principa l Act.
(3) It sha ll come into force a t once. Amendment 2. In section 3 o f the Principa l Act, the following » f sectio n 1 shall be substitu ted foi clause ( /) , name ly; •• of Assam , ' A ct 1 o f

Amendment 3. In su bs ec tio n (1) of section 4 of the Principa l of sect ion 4 Act, the following commas and the words shall he of A®8™, om itte d, nam ely 1—

Amendment 6. In section 16 o f the Prin cipal Act , in sub-section o f sect ion H (2) the " full st op " at the end shall be deleted and I of P957.Ct^ le
fo llowing sha ll be added, na mely:—
" , on the sam e ra te o f revenu e or rent for such class of land in the neighbourh ood."
Amendment 7. In sub-section (1) of section 19 of the Prin cipal

Amendment 8. In section 20 o f the Principa l Act, in sub-section of section 20 the fo llowing words shall be omitted, nam ely : —oi Assam Act
