THE ASSAM TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING
(AMENDMENT) ACT, 1994.
AN
ACT
further to amend the Assam Town and Country Planning Act, 1959.
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Town and Country Planning
Act, 1959, in the manner hereinafter appea- ring ;
It is hereby enacted in the Forty-fifth Year of the Republic of India, as follows :—
Short title, extent and sommtaco' ment.
1,(1) This Act may be called the Assam Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Act, 1994.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at onee. Ame»dment 2. In the Assam Town and Country ie.fA.Xi Planning Act, 1959, in section 10,—

(i) for the existing provisions of sub- section (1), the following shall be substituted, namely :—

" (1) On receiving the plan and the Zoning Regulation from the Director, the State Government shall have them, as soon as may be, published in the manner prescribed giving wide and sufficient publi- city in the locality inviting public opinion and objection, if any, to be submitted within a period of not more than two months from the date of such publication;"
(ii) after sub-section (2), the following shall be inserted as sub-section (3), namely
"(3) copy of the plan and the Zoning Regulation shall be supplied to the public on payment of such fees as may be pres- cribed."
