Ilteceived the assent or the Covet-nor on the 9th August, 2011; assent lkst published ii, the "Madhya Pradesh Gazette (Extra-ordinary)", dated the 17th August, 20111.
• An Act further to amend tilt lta jiv Gandhi liroudyogik i Visit wa vidyalaya AcIltiniyam, 1998.
Be it enacted by the Madhya Pradesh Legislature in the Sixty-second year-of the Republic of India as follows:—
I. This Aet,.thay .be called the Rajiv Ciaudhi,d.St:k?edyogik) Vishwavidyalaya (S.inStibdhan) Shoryille. Adhiniyant, 20 '
2. For the long, title of the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1998 (No. 13 of 1998) (hereinafter referred to. as the principal. Act), the following long title shall bc,substituted, namely:—
"An Act to establish and incorporate a University of Technologyfor the purpose of ' ensuring systematic, efficient and qualitative education in engineering and ' technological Subjects. including Architecture, Pharmacy, Hospitality sector, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Travel and Tourism and other degree and diplorbac level courses approved by the All India Council for 'C, Technical Education and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.".

3. In Section 6 of the Principal Act, after ub-seciion (2), the, following sub-section shall Amendment of be inserted, namely:— Section 6.
"(2a) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law for the time being in force, any College or Polytechnic or institution imparting education in Hospitality sector, hotel Management and Catering Technology, Travel and Tourism or other degree and diploma level cOurses approved by the All India Council for Technical Education situated within the limits of the area specified under sub-section (1) shall, with effect from such date as may be notified in this behalf by the State Government, be deemed to be associated with 'and admitted to the privileges of ihe Vishwavidyalaya and shall cease to be associated with other University or Board in 'the manner prescribed by. the Statutes or 'regulations.".
