further to amend the Assam Liquor Prohibition Act, 1952
Preamb le. Whereas it is expedient fur the r to amend the Assam Liquor Pro hib itio n Act, 1952, hereinafte r called the Assam Act prin cipal Act, in the ma nner hereinafte r appearing; I of 1953.
It is hereby enac ted in the Twenty-first Yea r of the Re public of In di a as follows:—
Short tit le, 1 .( 1 ) This Act may be cal led the Assam Liquor ex ten t an d Pro hib ition (Am endmen t) Act, 1970. com mence - ' - men t.
(2) It sha ll have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once.

“Explan ation.—Ta ri in an unferm ented stage and liquor con tain ing 5 per cen t alcohol are exem pted from the operatio n of this Act.”
