5 दे ASSAM ACT V OF 1942 THE ASSAM MOTOR VEHICLES TAXA- TION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1942 [ Received the assent of the Governor on the 29th April 1942.] [Published in the Assam Gazelte of the 6th May 1942.] An Act further to Amend the Assam Molor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1936, Preamble; WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Assam Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1936 ; AnD wHEREAS the Governor of Assam has assumed to himself under the Proclamation dated the 25th December 1941 issued by him under section 93 of the Government of India Act, 1935, all powers vested by or under the said Act in the Provincial Legislature ; Now, therefore, in exercise of the said powers the Governor of Assamis pleased to make the following Act. Short title. 1,(1) This Act may be called the Assam Motor Vehicles Taxation (Amendment) Act, 1942, Commence- (2) It shall come into force on such date as ment, the Governor may, by notification in the official Gazette, direct, Extent.
