No. 32-18—2012-M.XXXl—665.4In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 92 and 93 of the Madhya
Pradesh Irrigation Act 1931 (No. 111 of 1931), the State Government hereby make the following further amendment
in Madhya Pradesh Irrigation rules, 1974, the same having been previously published, as required by sub section
(3) of Section
92 of the said Act, namely 1—,
AMENDMENT
In the said rules, for rule 120, the following rule shall be substituted, namely2~

The Water rate payable on land, which is in commanded or not in commanded but could be
irrigated effectively by lift irrigation and have written permission from canal officer, shall be same
as the rates payable on command land, which is sown with the same crop with flow irrigation by
canal under following conditions, namely 2— -
the application of the permanent holder of land which is not in command is considered only on
availability of water by canal officer subjected that the applicant has remitted the arrears and
penalties of irrigation revenue in full if any.
only one Diesel or Electric pump having maximum capacity of lOHP, shall be allowed for
lifting water from canal.
Irrigation through regulator valve controlled syphon shall be allowed only but tractor operated
pump shall not be allowed.
the full payment of water for each crop season shall be deposited in advance for crop, area and
number of watering under irrigation agreement and applicant to have obtain written permission
from canal officer.
the irrigation agreement is only for a short term period,
without written permission lift irrigation by pump shall be considered unauthorized and legal
action shall be taken”.
