XI OF 1999 (Received the assent of the Governor on 20th May, 1999) THE ASSAM TEA PLANTATIONS PROVIDENT FUND AND PENSION FUND AND DEPOSIT LINKED INSURANCE FUND SCHEME (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1999. -~ Preamble. Short title, extent and commence- ment. Amendment of Section 3. AN ACT further to amend the Assam Tea Plantations Provident Fund and Pension Fund and Deposit Linked Insurance Fund Act, 1955. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Tea Plantations Provident Fund and Pension Fund and Deposit Linked Insurance Fund Scheme Act, Assam Act X of 1955, 1955, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act in the manner hereinafter appearing : It is hereby enacted in the Fiftieth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. (i) This Act may be called the Assam Tea Plantations Provident Fund and Pension Fund and Deposit Linked Insurance Fund Scheme (Amendment) Act, 1999. ; (ii) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act. (iii) It shall come into force at once. 2. In the principal Act, in Section 3, in sub-section (3), for the words "ten percent" occurring in between the words "shall be" and "of the total" the words "twelve percent” shall be substituted. M. K.
